Team Vitality (4/5 with bet365 and Coral) vs. Unicorns of Love (EVS with Betfair, William Hill and Coral) – 19:00 CET
Vitality posted an incredibly impressive 2 – 0 score last week against top EU LCS teams G2 and Origen, further complicating the picture at the top of the league. We now are looking at 4 teams battling for the top spot in Europe and no clear favourite, although Vitality’s recent results make them look good value in this matchup. UoL lost their match against H2K last week, and this result combined with the eye test makes it look like UoL are probably going to sit at the bottom of the top 4 come the end of the split. Their skirmish heavy style just doesn’t match up to the better rotating teams in LCS, and Team Vitality are one of these rotate heavy squads.
This matchup will likely come down to the Unicorns rookie jungler, Rudy. On average he currently sits just over 400 gold behind his opposing number at the 10 minute mark, and this is representative of his early game struggles in the LCS. On a team that relies so heavily on fights early to set the pace, this is a real issue for UoL, and one they need to remedy if they are going to take down Team Vitality. Whilst Shook hasn’t exactly set the world alight this year, he should be more than comfortable taking over the early game against Rudy. Considering Team Vitality’s great macro play will favour them in the late game, their doesn’t seem to be a clear win condition for UoL. Team Vitality should take a comfortable win here.

Team Vitality to win at 4/5 with bet365 and Coral (1.80)
Origen (11/8 with William Hill) vs. H2K (4/7 with bet365 and Coral) – 20:00 CET
Origen have fallen away from the pack considerably in recent weeks, going 1 – 1 in weeks 4 and 5 to leave them a couple games shy of the leading pack. Origen seem to be comfortably better than the bottom half teams in LCS, yet struggle to handle those at the top, and mostly this is down to individual performances. Soaz and Amazing have been particularly poor performers overall, Amazing through simply not having the same game impact as he did last year, and Soaz through often losing his lane incredibly hard and tilting into irrelevance. H2K on the other hand will be disappointed having lost their first game this week to Vitality, largely due to a strong performance from Cabochard, and will be hoping to bounce back against Origen.
H2K will be coming into this match comfortable favourites, and considering the tremendous early game pressure Jankos and Odoamne are able to output as a duo, we expect to see Soaz and Amazing fall behind in the early game. H2K are an efficient team with a lead, and it will be difficult for Origen to come back even with Zven’s impressive late game carry potential. H2K should be able to take the early game comfortably, and so we are going to go with a win for them in this matchup.
