With both UoL and Vitality being beaten down by G2 Esports and H2K respectively, only the latter two teams are left sitting at 5 – 1. This week will be interesting as we could see G2 and H2K pull away from the rest of the pack at the top of the league, or pulled back into the mire to fight for the upper placings.
G2 Esports (5/4 with betfair and Coral) vs. Origen (8/13 with bet365 and William Hill) 20:00 CET
G2 really are exceeding all expectations this season and continue to sit at the top of the LCS standings. Last week saw them post arguably their most impressive week, beating the talented Fnatic squad and early frontrunners UoL in the same week, proving they can go toe to toe with the better line-ups in LCS consistently. Origen started to show themselves picking up, taking 2 wins last week after starting the season 1 – 3, with Zven posting some big numbers on Lucian to carry both games.
For Origen, this is the true test of where they stand moving into the middle of the split; are they going to be contesting the top 2 spots, or will they be scrapping around with the rest of the play-off teams. G2 will simply be hoping to continue as they have been playing, and hoping that Perkz can continue showcasing the impressive play that has been largely responsible for carrying them to such a strong start. We expect this matchup to come down to the jungle and mid matchup, as this is where G2 tend to force their action in the early game. Amazing is having a very mediocre split by his standards, and we definitely can see Trick and Perkz bullying the Origen jungle mid duo, and as such we expect G2 to take this game. Considering the bookies are favouring Origen, G2 to win is a great bet here.

Roccat (13/8 with William Hill) vs. Unicorns of Love (4/7 with Coral) 21:00 CET
Roccat will undoubtedly be disappointed with the 1 – 5 start so far this split, as the squad they have put together should be looking for a mid-table finish. Last week they did not look like a bottom of the LCS team, running both Origen and H2K close in their games, with particularly Betsy doing some decent work on Twisted Fate and Lissandra. They will definitely be looking for more this week. Unicorns saw their strong start take a hit at the hands of G2 Esports last time around, and this week will want to get their split back to winning ways, and Roccat will be seen as a winnable game for them.
The big talking point surrounding this game will be the debut of Tabzz for Roccat. Tabzz has been on two top class LCS teams in his past, playing for the original Lemondogs line-up and following that the EU LCS winning Alliance. An aggressive, mechanical marksman who is not afraid to position further forward than the average player in order to win the teamfight, we feel he will add that x-factor that is lacking on this Roccat team to push them further up the standings. This will take time however, and this week it may be too early to see enough of an upturn in Roccat’s fortunes to predict them to take a win here. UoL has to be the bet on this game.
