G2 eSports (9/5 with Betway) vs Fnatic (29/10 with Betway)

Fnatic have been a fan favourite for years now. Sitting in a respectable 3rd place, their recent acquisition of former G2 top laner and spring split champion Kikis has given them a favorable shot at worlds this year. However, they’ve looked shaky the last few weeks, afer dropping 2 games to (then third place) Splyce. Their 7-5-4 record doesn’t show much hope, considering their opponents.

Sitting at 9-7-0, G2 have dominated Europe even harder than they did in Spring. They haven’t relinquished their top spot all season, and while they’ve been dropping some games, they have yet to pick up a series loss. Despite their poor performance at MSI, G2 are firm favourites for first seed out of Europe going into Worlds.

Origen (31/10 with Betway) vs H2K (33/20 with Betway).

This one is a bit less of a sure shot, but still a fairly predictable outcome. After a dismal start, xPeke stepping into the ADC role helped Origen to secure some of the wins and ties in their 2-8-6 record, and Toaster has had a few strong games since being acquired by the team. They still look incredibly shaky though. They’re not playing for playoffs so much as seeding for the promotion tournament at this point, looking to make a run for that safe 7th place.

H2K haven’t looked the strongest either this split. At 5-6-5, they’re sitting in 5th. With veteran (and former Origen player) Forgiven joining the lineup for this week, though, they’ll be looking to take an easy 2-o against the floundering Spanish team.It remains to be seen whether replacing Freeze will really solve their issues.

Giants (19/20 with Betway) vs Roccat (27/5 with Betway)

Giants being 4th is probably the biggest surprise for anyone who hasn’t been paying attention to the EU LCS this summer. They’ve always been a bottom 3 team, but their star Korean carries in Night an SONSTAR have brought them to an impressive 7-2-7 record. Whether they’re really top 4 material is yet to be decided, but they’re all but guaranteed a playoff spot at this stage, especially when you look at their first opponent of the week.

Roccat haven’t shown much worth talking about all split. Their abysmal 2-5-9 record puts them firmly at the bottom of the standings as the only team that cannot make playoffs under any magical circumstances. They’re looking more towards staving off relegation than any real results for this split. Against a high-tier team like Giants, it isn’t hard to say that their chances of picking up a game are slim (to be polite about it).

Giants to win with Betway (27/5).

Risky bet of the week

Schalke 04 and Vitality have both had middling splits. It’s hard to choose a winner between the two, making a juicy bet on a draw quite attractive here. At 1/1 On Betway, a tie between these two is a solid wager.
